Album Review

Jackson Square is the debut full-length from Hamilton, Ontario five-piece outfit Arkells. With a sound built around energetic indie rock mixed with a soulful Southern influence, not unlike early Maroon 5, Arkells made a splash in 2007 with their blazing single "Oh, the Boss Is Coming!" from their debut EP, Deadlines, and a year later Jackson Square continued in the same vein.

Customer Reviews

Amazing album.

These guys are awesome. Saw them open for Tokyo Police Club a few times and it's a surprise that they aren't huge out here! Great band with a very polished sound and performance. I know we'll be hearing more about them in the US soon! Jackson Square is a very fun album packed with amazing songs, one after the other. Buy it!

Guarantee you will love this CD!

I have hundreds of CD's and this is my #1. Every song is EXCELLENT - Can't stop listening to it. If you like melodic bluesy/rock music, you will love this CD. No Champagne Socialist and Blueprint are top notch!

Buy It! Buy It! Buy It!!

I got a copy of this album when they opened up for Tokyo Police Club, for the next 2 weeks this cd was stuck in my car stereo and on constant loop on my iPod because I couldn't stop listening to it! It a fantastic album... Ballad of Hugo Chavez is my absolute favorite!
