INCREDIBLE Album!!!!!!!

First, thanks to HBO's series Treme's title song which led me in search of it (on this album). Little did I expect such AMAZING TALENT come out of this one man - and such range of song- types!!!! He is truly talented. This album has one fantastic song after another. I have a very important meeting tomorrow but can't stop listening to this uplifting and get-on-your feet and dance album, and it's already 1:00 am!!!! Thank you Mr. John B!!!!!!

Treme Song

I lived in New Orleans from July 1,1993 until July 1,1994, and since my husband Lucas is a professional musician, he ended up playing with John on a lot of different gigs, and also toured with him throughout Europe. My father in law just moved back to New Orleans (after leaving with his wife Sheila to Kansas City, MO for 5 yrs. due to Hurricaine Katrina) and he has reconnected with John once again. He plays the Sax and John uses him both on Sax and Piano. In any case, I LOVE JOHN TO DEATH! He is just the best. Not only is he a charmer but he is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met! I am so happy for John and his success as he truly deserves it! When he sings, you really do get what you would hear on a record. He is so talented and just has a voice that would melt any chunk of butter! LOL He is the best and I would totally recommend his music. John really has a great feel for the Treme as he has spent his life growing up there and he really knows the place inside and out! Oh yeah, if you see him, ask him to play the trumpet for you. One of John's best kept secrets is that he is a great trumpet player as well! All I can really say is that John is the Treme. The secret of New Orleans is out there now. And considering that people from Donald Fagan to John Schofield (both excellent artists with lots and lots of success) already knew about him. I am glad that the world will be able to be let in on that secret now! Love you John! Keep singing! You are the man! Love, Kristin Pickford

Biography

Genre: Jazz

Years Active: '00s

John Boutte earned a business degree in college, but his heart always turned toward music. He'd watched his sister, Lillian Boutte, star in a musical theater production of One Mo' Time before she left their hometown of New Orleans to make a career in music for herself in Europe. But despite his own love of music, he took a job with a credit union after serving four years in the U.S. Army. It wasn't until he met Stevie Wonder and the superstar told him he had a definite shot at making it as a singer,...
