Outside the Box
A must buy. Contains vocal jazz that dares to go outside the box. Nina Simone. Beautiful piano and lyrics. Could also be soul R&B smooth jazz, contemporary jazz. Different.
Angela Shella's New Take on Jazz: Buy It Now
So these 6 songs seem to tell a story. The whole EP tell a story of heart ache, playfulness, purpose, and homelessness. Please Subscribe to my channel is what would happen if Ella Fitzgerald was produced by Dr Dre. Angela Shella's vocals are refreshingly different, avante garde. Angela Shella's "Good Guys" fusing different elements of Contemporary Jazz and story telling gospel like Shirley Ceasar. Angela Shella's vocal jazz style is emotional, especially on "Best Thing I Never Had" and "New Man" both of which are accompanied by piano only. "New Man" is a 7 minute rant of emotional vocal jazz and soul vibes, taking a page from Nina Simone. Piano seems to be the common theme through out most of the tunes, with elements of both jazz chords and european classical style. This is simply a brilliant EP. What is refreshing is the title track, Jazz Collection, an instrumental. "Touch Me" is the most romantic song. Something you would play when its time to make love, you know, like those Anita Baker love songs. You should buy, the entire EP, "Jazz Collection" by Angela Shella.
New Queen
This EP is a combination of jazz piano and soulful vocals. The instrumental "Jazz Collection" is the smooth jazz track with bright chords and piano. The songs "New Man" and "Best Thing I Never Had" both display a rare vocal talent by Angela Shella who has the ability to sound both classically trained and raw at the same time. "Good Guys" is a song with story telling. It reminds you of an over the top poetry jam. You'll want to listen to "Good Guys" over and over again. It is addictive. This album is a work of art. There is no artist like this. I wish Angela Shella all the best in her endeavors.She is the new queen.
