Since the late '50s, Rev. Johnny L. Jones has preached at Second Mount Olive Baptist Church in Atlanta, mixing sermons with raw gospel music that sometimes uses R&B/soul-influenced accompaniment. Born in Alabama, Jones sang in the gospel groups Jolly Four Gospel Singers and the Sensational Five Gospel Singers before moving to Georgia.
