Album Review
16 Biggest Hits may be missing some noteworthy songs, but it does provide an excellent summary of Johnny Horton's Columbia recordings between 1956 and 1960. Since it does contain the majority of his best-known songs — "The Battle of New Orleans," "Honky-Tonk Man," "I'm a One Woman Man," "Johnny Reb," "Sink the Bismark," "Whispering Pines," "North to Alaska" — at a mid-line price, it's an excellent introductory collection.

Well, in MY day
In my day, people always used to listen to this country twang. I love this singer as he set American History to music. Now you dont' be messin' with Jhonny Horton.
Johnny Horton was the greatest!
I'm only 32 years of age and Johnny's music is alive today. He's my favorite and his music has inspired me especially overseas in the military and many of my friends and shipmates! Thank you Johnny!
Now this is music
Johnny Horton has a fabulous sultry voice that also can play with your emotions. I have the original vinyl (from my grandmother) and these digital recordings and I can't get enough of Johnny!!
