Refreshingly Different
First off lets just get to it: Shane Mauss' new album is the best comedy album I've heard in at least a year... maybe more. For me it's one of the better albums I have and really it is a must buy. Hilarious from start to finish, never lets up and never disappoints.
Quick review on Shane Mauss: He's a tall lanky blonde dude from Lacrosse, WI. He's a smart, witty guy and he's willing to cross any line there is. He's also got one of the more distinctive voices around. Slow, drawn out and very original. The only way I can describe it is a nerdy news anchor. It's weird but doesn't detract from the comedy at all.
The album itself is great. Really funny from start to finish. The album was done in a small venue in Madison WI so the energy is very strong throughout the entire album. He swears a lot and is offensive, but in a newer more modern kind of way. He doesn't make a single race joke, which is soooo refreshing in this era. He's nerdy, but not in a Patton Oswalt kind of way. He's just your average nerd who is just really funny.
Anyways BUY this album! If you don't like it... then you should stick to "comedians" like Carlos Mencia.
Great, Clever Comedy
Everything from one-liners to stories, Shane Mauss keeps you laughing. I rarely find a comic that can consistently keep me laughing hard throughout the whole CD. He touches on a wide range of subjects in his material that leaves no dull moments. This is a must get CD for any fan of comedy!
This guy is the man..
If you like comedy, you'll love this guy. Came to Ann Arbor, MI a while back and was hilarious. Try to catch him live, he's gonna be big here soon!
