Great Album
Dave Weckl and Greg Howe are two of my favorite players. Its so cool to hear them playing together! Jon is a great young artist, and I really hope he keeps this up! I like all the songs, especially Hyde. I hope to see this live one day!
Amazing, young virtuoso bass guitarist...
I studied with Greg a few years back and I remember him telling me of a young bass guitarist he had just started working with. He told me at the time that this young "kid" was well beyond his years technically and that he'd be working with him on projects of his own as well as Jon's project. My first listen to Jon was on Sound Proof by Greg Howe. I knew then he was amazing, and like Greg said, well beyond his years. Now we have Jon Reshard... with the help of Dave Weckl and Greg Howe. A harmonic and rythmic genius with no questions asked... Technically up there with all the great bass giants with a voice of his own. His compositions are good. They'll get better as gets a little older and more mature.

I've known about Jon since his earlier work. That was cool, but this is completely different, and its not another lame "mindless shred" bass cd. I've actually heard nothing like it. Greg and Dave are ripping it up, and the things Jon does on this album seem visionary! Every song is sooo musical. Keep it up!
