Impressive, calming, lovely

It is rare to find such talent, without conciet. Even more rare, to find such talent, accompanied by such range. I find it most impressive Mr. Bell's ability to pull heart strings with one or two well played notes. Meditation de Thais takes me away to wonderous mind journies, while Poeme, convinces my healthy heart it has eternally broken. Bravo!

Virtuoso

My wife and I had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Bell at the Hollywood Bowl this summer ('08). He played, among others, Poeme by Chaussons. We were in awe of Bell's sensitivity, sense of line and technical skill. I searched and found this collection of his concerto performances. They are consummate performances all.

He is known for both his contemporary and classical repertoire. Joshua Bell was born in Indiana in 1967 and acquired an interest in playing the violin at an early age.
