Most soulful bluegrass I've ever heard
I first saw Trent Wagler in Dayton, OH in November 2006, and he was amazing. His voice and storyteller style is reminiscent of Bob Dylan, and he is a very talented guitarist. He is a country singer with soul, and when starts a blues song, you could close your eyes and imagine you are in a smoke-filled, blues club in Chicago. All around talented musician and lyricist.
ive never been a fan of country...but wagler makes me cry
this album is nowhere near as good as Trent Wagler's other albums, but by far he is my favorite folk/blues musician. i only heard of him a few months ago, because he is from the town where i go to college. since he's from this area, i have been able to see him in concert 4 times in 5 months, and i never get tired of listening to his music. listening is one thing, but when you can watch Wagler as he sings his songs, it is completely obvious that he is encompased by his music and lyrics, that they are from his soul.
