One of the best recordings of traditional and original Irish and Scottish material from an American act, this features Carnahan's voice and instruments backed by Petrie on a few tracks.

Dance with me, Lords and Ladies!
I found that this album brought me back to the magic I had lost in my youth. It moved me to tears. Beautiful and heartfelt, it made me want to dance in the round.

I think we are going to use A Dram for the Piper for our winter wedding song. =) This song has always been one of our favorites.

Danny Carnahan and Robin Petrie have enjoyed a fruitful partnership since the 1970s, when they first began to perform folk and experiment with a widening variety of world musical styles. Carnahan and Petrie met while students at the University of Califorinia at Irvine and soon began to play together, he on guitar and subsequently fiddle; she on recorder and later the hammered dulcimer.
