Customer Reviews
Literally a soundtrack...but a little inconsistent
Just a warning that this seems to be a literal soundtrack, ie they put the musical track of the movie onto a CD -- the George Bruns tracks are the background while the characters speak, but the vocals of the characters are not there. That's where it's a little inconsistent, the mid-song vocals are sometimes there, sometimes not, eg in Bare Necessities, you don't hear Mowgli say "You eat ants", etc., but later there are some vocals that seem to break that pattern. That said, my kid loves it and we try to figure out where in the movie we are by the background music -- and it shows her how music can be used to create a mood and/or imply actions. HTH, Ashicap
Toe tapping best beloved music
This music is fantastic, showing Disney's love of quality compositions and performances and all sorts of moods-don't miss it!
LUUURRVE IIIIITTTT!!!!!!
Alright, I'll admit it, THE JUNGLE BOOK is not my No. 1 favorite Disney movie. But it's still awesome. "That's What Friends are For" is a perfect example of an excellent yet for whatever reason forgotten Disney song. (That, "Scales and Arpeggio's", and "Little April Showers" are probably the top three) "Trust in Me" is also a great, mostly because Sterling Holloway was also Winnie the Pooh. GO JUNGLE BOOK!!!!!!
