Considering I lost a loved one to drunk driving, this song really hits home. It had my 4 kids in tears.
Just One - Single
A very sad, true story about a friend of one of the writers of the song -- it's not a contrived story, which is true of so many country songs. This really happened! Lisa's voice is strong on this single, and her myspace page has other songs that reveal a lighter side to her. I think it's a great first song out of the gate for her. The song showcases not only her voice, but her story telling ability -- she is also a co-writer on the song. Country radio needs to get this song out there!
Sad, but gorgeous.
This song is about the worst possible consequence of drunk driving. Her voice beautifully captures the hopelessness of the drunk driver's case and the hurt of the young mother who loses her child.
