Album Review

Rachael Lampa's sophomore release is a disc filled with appetizing cuts that fill the soul like a hearty meal. Whether it's the danceable grooves like "Savior Song" and "I'm All Yours" or the funkified "For Your Love" and "Sanctified," Lampa shines like a seasoned veteran. Especially satisfying are the disc's slower grooves. Tunes like "Beautiful" serve up a vocalist dripping with soul. The cut comes off as a spiritual Mariah Carey. The same could be said for the tune "Lead Me (I'll Follow)." An eloquent acoustic guitar drives the song as electronic nuances add a savory flavor. Kaleidoscope is an inspired second effort from Rachael Lampa, offering proof that this 17-year-old has many solid releases and abundant potential ahead of her.
