Kathy Mattea has risen to near the top of the Nashville ranks because of a haunting, soulful voice, well-produced recordings that have a simple, folkie directness, and, most especially, an amazing talent for picking the best songs being written for the country market, among them "Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses," "Goin' Gone," and the heartbreaking "Where've You Been."

We have enjoyed all of Kathys music and have loved this song and the artist rendition for Years...but now it has special meaning for us...we are living the words and meanings of the song.."Where've You Been". Her voice is so honest and true. God Bless you, Kathy....
They just don't make them like this anymore.
What memories this has brought back. Kathy Mattea's voice is totally beautiful! 'Where've you been' still brings a teat to my eye all these years later!
