Surprising!
Not a die hard Morcheeba fan, but somehow found my way to this album. Well worth $10 bucks and honestly the music has a unique, haunting and mesmerizing quality to it. Glad I found it and while still with some subtle weakness, it won't disappoint.
WHAT A VOICE:)
What a voice!!!!! This Hottie can sing her a*s off!!! I'm sure the Morcheeba camp is missing her!!!! With that said though, Neither Morcheeba( Who's new album gets the thumbs DOWN ) Nore Skye's solo stuff compair to Morcheeba's Stuff With Skye!!!!! Together there GOLDEN!!! Seperatly though.....Both Are lacking! She Still has one hell of a voice though!
Skye is Soaring Again & Has A Beautiful Message
Skye's "Love Show" was the theme for my wedding last year (2 men in CA, of the lucky 18,000). Not only does her beautiful voice resonate in your heart and mind, but she takes her listeners on a journey and stops time - even if for a few brief minutes and leaves listeners reflecting on their own life & path in a fresh/new way.
In Keeping Secrets, Skye reveals a deep part of her soul, obviously having conquered some major "Demons" in her life, overcome adversity, and realized through it all that what "Almost Killed Her(Me)" has actually made her stronger.
I've just listened to the entire album and am blown away. The message is pure, beautiful & inspiring in so many ways.
For me, the standout tracks are: Boo Hoo & Clock to Stop, but the entire album warrants a listen and a purchase.
Few artists are as gifted as Skye and we're so lucky to have her share her talents with us, making our lives brighter, even through the darkest of nights.
