The Legendary Performance series CD's are always great. And this is no execption. Khachaturian is a great addition to any classical collection. The Adagio from Spartacus is wonderful and worth having to buy the whole album.
Really great performance
I was looking for a nice recording of the Sabre Dance, and settled on this album. Some more modern recordings have technically better sound (I also recommend the London Symphony recording), but this one has this spirit... Hard to describe, but try download a track or two, I think you'll agree.

You see the Armenian Countryside and Villagelife in Khachaturyan's music! After all ... thats what he was trying to depict! Trully, one of the greatest Armenian Composers of all time!
