The Fad is the S**t!
This band is one of the most underated out there. Despite making some of the best and catchiest ska/punk on the East coast they have yet to gain the type of appreciation they deserve in crowd numbers (great for the rest of us) or record sales. They have a unique take on ska and punk while adding in talented and interesting vocals. The only other band that I can really compare them to is Rancid... and even then that is a horrible comparison. My favorite songs on the album are Vinyl Paradise, Remote Control, Only as Good, Ska-Boom, and Leaving Cleveland. But really, they're all good in respect to the genre they encompass.
Amazing
Coming from Long Island, I was presented with many opprotunities to see the Fad, but always passed. Now that they are broken up, i will never see them. Bad choice on my part.
Great Album, Great Guys
This album is probably one of the best ska albums of the year. Some of the songs are re-recordings of the originals, but they really changed for the better. If they ever play near your area, go out and support them, you won't be disappointed.
