I Wasted My Money So You Don't Have To

Ok, let me just start out by saying that anyone who knows me knows that Candiria is my favorite band of all time. Even if they never put out a good record again, they will always have my respect and admiration for being the most interesting band I have ever heard. I think I should also preface this by saying that I'm not resistant to change. I'll admit that "What Doesn't Kill You..." took a while to grow on me, but once it did it became a very close 2nd for best Candiria album, right after "300 Percent Density". I've been listening to "Kiss The Lie" for a few days now hoping to find something I could latch on to, but unfortunately there's just nothing there. It's not because it's not heavy though (and believe me, it's not), I mean if it were a straight up jazz album I know I would have thoroughly enjoyed it because Candira excels at Jazz. Instead it's just this bizarre, atmospheric, moody collection of very similar sounding tracks. There's almost nothing for the traditional or even the new school Candira fan to sink their teeth into. Let me put it this way, if you hated the direction of The End's "Elementary", then you'll hate "Kiss the Lie" even more. If you're curious and have money to burn then by all means buy it, but seriously I'm trying to do a public service here.

thank god

So glad that this album released finally, its a great album with alot of change. If you are fan of hardcore or fusion i suggest thier old stuff. This album i think will appeal to all types of rock music fans

Finally The World Can Enjoy This Masterpiece

Any one who says this record isn't great, can kiss my butt because thats a lie. I first heard Candiria broke up and made a record that would never be released, luckily I know someone on the inside and obtained a copy some time ago. I was told the record company won't release it without a band to back it and Candiria was reluctent to release because they felt the sound would alienate their fan base. Well, I can see that happening they did lose a bit of heaviness and dumped the jazz, O' well Candiria has still put out a great heavy metal album. Breaking from ambient noise to ear splintering metallic progression. Any hardcore Candiria fan can be disapointed, I suggest you pretend its a different band and enjoy. I have been a fan since 300 percent density came out and love the progression they have made. Carly can sing now (he must have taken some lessons). The band still has that jazz feel even without the horns. So s**k it up a band is allowed to change. I welcome change if its good and KISS THE LIE is a friggin amazing album.
