Customer Reviews
Not the Kitsune vintage of yesteryear
Long gone are the days when with each new album Kitsune would predictably shatter all expectations and rejuvenate dance-music (and provide us with a proper party pack sure to last at least a few months).
Unfortunately their last few albums are but a repeat of the compilation before that (then again, this brand of retro-inflected music has had its day in the sun some time ago already. I'm just saying.)
Worth Listening to Just to Hear "Twist"

They're always recycling and reinterpreting and reimagining music. Soon musicians will be trying to revive future trends that haven't even taken place yet. Vintage dance will always be popular because it can always be played with in a new way or polished with new technology. This album isn't mediocre because the retro sound has run its course--it's mediocre because the quality of the music itself is obnoxious and grating.
Besides, what ever happened to just listening to music because it just sounds good, and not because it's "cool"?
That said, it's worth getting this album just to hear "Twist", by Peter and the Magician. Now THAT song is a gorgeously throbbing, sexy, melodic, heart-thumping disco track. A luscious, sumptuous italo dream. An exception to the rule for this album.
