sweet kora music!
Great Afro-Manding grooves. The kora and vocals take center stage, and the band moves between Manding, reggae, afro-beat sounds, even a little blues. Good mix of full arrangements and solo kora songs. Definitely recommend to any Gambian/Senegal/Mali/Guinea, etc fan. Jali apparently is the son of Dembo Konteh, and Alhaji Bai Konteh's grandson, two of the biggest Gambian kora players, especially in the world market. Jali definitely has the talent of his forefathers, and its nice to hear it in a more modern, yet rootsy, setting. Highly Recommend!
