brilliant and beautiful
here then are four exceptional people doing something unique and wonderful to help make the world a better place. i have had the pleasure of seeing amiina twice now (once with sigur ros and once all on their own) and having their music available for me to enjoy all the time is wonderful. when you watch these ladies perform, you can't help but notice how much they enjoy what they create because of the way they laugh with each other all throughout their performance. it fills me with goodness. i would venture to guess that what they create here is too unique for some, too far removed from the plain vanilla tunes populating radio stations and television. it's always a treat, always a surprise, always a discovery of something new. this music is a rare treasure indeed. lovely, intimate, genuine, and utterly special.
Hard to stop listening to.
I've been waiting for this album for some time...and had to search all over my town and the nearby areas to find an actual copy of it, and when I did I was far from disappointed. I just sat in my car blissfully, with the only dark cloud on the horizon being that I had to stop driving and get out of my car before the album was over. My only real warning to people about this album is not to expect Sigur Ros, because they are a step away from ambient and Amiina is right there in it. Though I personally really enjoy them both. So if you don't like ambient, don't bother to write a review for this album. Every song is strikingly beautiful. Don't let people who simply don't like this genre of music steer you away from it.
NOT at all boring
what a lame one worded review, care to describe why you didn't like this album? I can't think of one track I didn't like, these girls are even more mesmerizing live! although if you don't like experimental, ambient, different than the norm, highly original music than I guess maybe this album is not for you... if you are a fan of music that is relaxing, innovative, beautiful and ultimately nearly impossible to describe than at least check out the sound clips
