heard these guys on Last.fm and loved
I don't know how to explain their sound, it's somewhere in the Tori Amos/Amanda Palmer spectrum. Only with guys. I love the vocals which are rich and gorgeous, and the piano is deeply emotional in range, at times delicate and at times hugely powerful. I love these guys and here's hoping for more from them soon!
Original and moving; campy crooning & cunning keyboards
Been following these gents for a while. There is a lot of talent on display, and they are not afraid to show it. I can't compare it to anything, it's a very stripped down sound: virtuoso piano that veers between pop, classical and cabaret, and rich, breathy crooning. There's definitely an element of camp and pathos along with the more upbeat leanings. Buy this now so you can brag to your friends later that you were way into these guys before anyone.
Great debut
great keyboard by Horwitz and incredible moody vocals by Lee Waters. Definitely give this album double thumbs up. Playing it continuously since I bought it.
