iTunes Review
"On their third album (following The In Crowd and School Was My Hustle), NYC-via-Chicago duo Naledge and Double O go for a dramatically different sound, jettisoning their early golden-era boom- bap vibe in favor of ‘80s-style pop anthems, hyper-sensitive self-reflection, and lots more keyboards. The high-fashion shout-outs are still there, as is the endless barrage of lofty ego-stroking, but musically their new approach is one that you will either love or hate, zeroing in on the Kanye/Kid Cudi fanbase for better or for worse. Double O's sample-free production runs the gamut from exceptionally funky (""L_O_V_E,"" ""Rise & Shine"") to jaw-droppingly corny (""Take Over The World,"" ""Simple Life""), and just about everything in between. Destined to be featured on some sort of television-show nightclub soundtrack, this is custom-made party music for kids who glamorize the ‘80s, but are too young to actually remember them. "
Customer Reviews
I'm a assume it's good, since their other album is good
I don't know about them being better than CuDi, but they're pretty good. I agree f**k Lil' Wayne and all that garbage. I think what we are seeing is a wave of new young talented young individuals that are coming up with more creative material, than what we usually hear on the radio. I gotta hand it up to CuDi though, he is probably the best rapper alive, he gives props to Kidz In The Hall in one of his songs.
Moon Man
One of the best rap albums of the past decade
I won't even get into detail on how good this album is. There is not one bad song. F**k Lil Wayne and all the other garbage that's coming out, and cop this. I've been listening to Kidz for a few years, and they're better than both Cudi and B.o.B, and fare high with some of the modern greats like Lupe. If you like rap, GET THIS NOW.
It's cool
This is a more chill version if rap. I think this caters more to people like the artist themselves . Brothas and sistas who went to college and grad school, they were stereotyped for not being really "black" or went to private schools with mostly white folk etc. Or if you actually just want to hear some rap without too much cussing or talking negatively about women. These katz are just rapping from their experiences!!!! They ain't Notorious or Pac, no... But it's still good stuff.
