Long live Ho-Hum
This is Ho-Hum's fourth album, and the first one where they really start mixing up the electronic sounds. But they're still the rock/pop crowd-pleasing boys who made Massacre the year before (1999, and unfortunately not available on Itunes). "The Bummer" is the most unstoppable, pumped up with a classic drumbeat and especially glorious interplay of pop guitar and melodic keyboards. If you want one song, get that one. But you might also go for "'til the Cows Come Home," "Half Full," and "Nothing Knew," the last one being almost as thrilling as "The Bummer." Just get the album, put on your headphones, and rock out.
