Find yourself in a beautiful story of Zapaska

     

Alternative pop duo Zapaska (members of the band "Propala Gramota" and "Cheche") recorded their first EP "Lanka". The name reflects the principle on which Zapaska creates songs: by putting and mixing music loops which are not taken from sound libraries, but playacting to an audience live.
Their debut EP included 6 tracks: two versions of the track "Koroleva" (Queen), also "Prorizna Street", "Kolyskova" (Lullaby), "Nespodivano" (Unexpectedly) and "Budynok Charivnyh Gnomiv" (The House of Magic Gnomes).
When you listen mini-album, it seems that you find yourself in a beautiful story in which settled the French gnomes, African Pygmies, former champion of judo. The queen of leaves is circling there, waving a dagger village madman, and the Kiev Cinderellas going to become princesses.
"Lanka" includes - laconic "minimal" which created by using traditional instruments and loop station, as well as live sampling, recitative, black styles and Ukrainian melodies. Melodic oscillation is calling for a dance, then pulls in marmalade drowsiness.
It is hoped that the first link of the group Zapaska become part of the chain.
