Album Review
Released during his meteoric rise to the top, Larry Hernández’s 2010 release Larrymania shows the singer finding his stride and figuring out how to survive in the erratic world of regional Mexican music. Since fans of the genre come with both high expectations and ravenous appetites — a combination responsible for more shooting stars than successful veterans — Hernández makes the wise decision to get some help with the heavy lifting, allowing other songwriters to contribute material when he had previously been known for going it alone. This new arrangement is responsible for two of the highlights with the Romeo & Juliet story “Duele” coming from the pen of Javier Zazueta, while Geovani Cabrera Inzunza contributes the great outlaw story “Sr. Violencia.” Hernandez is responsible for key tracks “Arrastrando las Patas” and “División MP,” along with the strong second line of material where heartbreak and being on the wrong end of the law reign supreme. When compared to his debut, this is not the album to start with, but in the top quality control world of Hernández, that just means you’ll be thrilled instead of stunned.

Esta buenisimo el cd!
Me gusto que el compa Larry uso diferentes tonadas en las canciones. No te vas aburrir de las canciones porque cada una, con su tonada diferente, tiene su propio estilo. Por sierto, tambien me gusto que el cd fue grabado con bajosexto y accordeon, se oye muy bien. Puro Michoacan y Sinaloa viejon! Fierro! Fu** them haters, buy the cd here on iTunes or at the store but don't disrespect the artist by illegaly downloading the cd. Digan no a la pirateria.
