Great Singing - Great Music
Finally, someone who still knows how to write a decent song. Midwest indie artist Robert Kramers' previous offerings have drawn comparisons to Sting and DMB, but this album shows some classic songwriting and singing. Most every tune is a winner, even the oddly placed "I Wish You Could Hear This Song", which, although a good song, seems out of place here, and better placed on a Moody Blues album. That said, there are some strong tracks here. Check out "Knockaround", a power pop country rocker which should garner some decent downloads. "Smash The Mirror" & "Water Into Wine" shows scope and excellent songwriting. "Maybe", a spooky blues flavored tune with a very nice dual lead solo payoff at the end could have gone on longer for my money. I'll hope for the longer "in concert" version. All in all, great singing, great music!
