iTunes Review
Raised in the infamous Queensbridge projects, Cormega is one of the most lyrical "thug poets" in hip-hop, with a knack for delivering cinematic narratives that give you a candid look into the underbelly of society, a world full of fiends and dealers, loyalty and betrayal, high life and despair. Though he'd been rapping since the late '80s, it was a prison stretch in early '90s that really put him on the map, when Nas gave him a shout on his single "One Love" ("what up with Cormega, have you seen him, are y'all together?") Once he got out, he signed with Def Jam, recorded a great record that never came out, then joined short-lived supergroup the Firm, only to be unceremoniously kicked out to begin a long beef with Nas & Nature. Undaunted, he endured and started his own label, releasing two exceptional albums back-to-back, The Realness and The True Meaning. Legal Hustle is more of a compilation project, showcasing up-and-coming artists on his label of the same name. The new jacks are cool (specifically Miz and Dona), though Mega's verses steal the show, as do the collabos with M.O.P. ("Let It Go"), Ghostface ("Tony / Montana"), and AZ ("Redemption").

great album
great underground album. its a shame people like TheMann give it a 1 star because they dont know who the person is and dont care how good the music is. every song has a great flow. Best songs are 'dangerous', 'bring it back', 'tony/montana' and 'personified'
THIS ALBUM IS HOT
im not giving it 5 because it is not a classic, not many albums are (the realness and true meaning were btw). Nevertheless, Mega comes through again with the hard hitting NYC grimy beats and the f*cking amazing rhymes as always. Tony / Montana is a straight up CLASSIC with Ghost droppin one of the hottest 16's of 04. Beautiful Mind is a classic as well, so is Let It Go with MOP and Redemption with AZ. There really is no weak track on the entire album it is straight fire throughout. If you love Mega you NEED to pick this up as well as true meaning and the realness if you can find them (could a label please reissue those already?). word up.
Flat out Amazing
My friend recently reccomended Cormega, and thanks to him, I have officially listened to one of the best MCs of all time. Cormega prides himself on lyrics, and no one has ever had more of a right to do anything before. He is a lyrical genius, a skilled poet, and a force for real hip hop. Unfortunately, iTunes only has Legal Hustle, which is a tremendous album, although not his best, if that is possibly imaginable. Beautiful Mind is an anthem, with a classic beat and lyrics to match, Bring it Back has a solid beat, alluding to Mega's motivation, Tony/Montana is an instant classic with a solid appearence by Ghostface, and Monster's Ball is a head-nodding masterpiece. Mega is an inspiration...iTunes, PLEASE get The Realness (bonus edition), The Testament, and The True Meaning...5/5 EASILY
