Worth the Wait, really
I think I first heard "The Beast" sometime around 2000 (really? that long ago?!) It's absolutely fan-freakin-tastic to see this album finally put out. Music like this shouldn't be kept from those who want to hear it.

Laura Minor began her musical career after moving to Gainesville, FL, where she met fellow singer/songwriter Jared Flamm. Minor had long considered herself a serious writer and had in fact come to Gainesville to work on a book. Yet after singing Gram Parsons' "Return of the Grievous Angel" with Flamm at a party in April 2001, the two began adapting her writing, particularly her poems, into songs.
