The free-spirited members of Sidonie must have dropped one too many tabs of acid. Let it Flow is at first standard, neo-psychedelic, summer-of-love rock with the conventional tracks "Love" and "Cry." However, things get a little strange. In addition to the expected sitar and mid-eastern influence, the Spanish trio attempts to expand the mind by bringing in synthesizers and experimenting with just about anything else available to them. A kaleidoscopic, slightly corny version of Madonna's "Beautiful Stranger" comes a little too soon, before it starts getting downright bizarre with the instrumental "Sidonie Goes to Varanasi," where you can just picture this trio in India meditating after smoking from a big pipe. The counterpart, "Sidonie Goes to London" carries an equally sedated vibe. "Entertainment" eschews the guitars for synths, as the band blasts off into a space-age trip. It all flows, but only for as long as your own spiritual high lasts.
