Ah. I see.
by indie.rock.kid.See, I did a (unofficial) survey with some people I know. Yeah, it's not rival bands. It's not elitist indie kids who hate them being showed on MTV. No, it's whiney pop people who played Rock Band and expected so much out of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs after "Maps" (which, by the way, still is a great song), and expected another soft song.
Pathetic.
This is how the Yeah Yeah Yeahs make their music. That's also why it's called ROCK Band, not HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. Hey, you want soft? Look up "Cheated Hearts" or the acoustic version of "Gold Lion" instead. Or, if you DO in fact like them going hard, or you are also a metalhead, try "Date With the Night", "Pin", "Y Control" and "Down Boy."
Now, to the remixes - well, they're both good, and remind me of the "Y Control" remixes, which is a good thing. But, like the Silversun Pickups remixes (oh, come on, you've played the Rock Band 2, you know what I'm talking about), the originals are way better. As is the case with "Gold Lion", the original is the best.
So, have fun looking up the rest of all of the list of Rock Band, mainstream kids. Get ready to be more dissappointed.
