Shoegaze-ish Indie Electronic Perfection

I found out about Letting Up Despite Great Faults through the Pitchfork review of “In Steps”. Purchased the album and have had it in heavy rotation since, the whole album, front to back, which is rare these days. I just hope with a release this late in the year people discover it in time to put Letting Up on their best of 2009 lists. It has earned a top spot on mine, and deserves to be on yours also.

dreamgaze

a very modern, clean shoegaze sound with indiepop and some electronic sounds (synths, drums). a great listen that hits a gamut of moods - everything from melancholy to upbeat hopefulness.

Perfect album for Autumn

I've been waiting for this album to be released for awhile now, and it certainly has exceeded my expectations. It really shows the tremendous growth and innate talent of the group. It ranges from insightful, dreamy and harmonious synthetic melodies to bread n' butter indie-rock tracks. The album as a whole is cohesive and thoughtfully put together. Looking forward to what's coming.
