So this is a great album because it's a great album.
Not because it's mentioned in someone elses private journal that was never meant to be produced to the masses.

Screw Nirvana compare to this band. Jesus Lizard wasn't even near the grunge stuff. They are a weird band, but this album is more accessible than their previous. It's noise, punk, hardcore, and alternative. When you talk about underrated bands, I guess no one deserves it better than Jesus Lizard. Amazing musicians, vocals, it's just all perfect. You gotta love those screams too. Real music.
Brutal. Efficient. Nasty. Ugly. American.
Imagine being bathed in a drunk man's sweat and spit as he sits on your chest while cursing you incoherently and throwing haymakers at your face. This is the essence of the Jesus Lizard's, "Liar". Like the hot iron your mama told you never to touch, this Southern fried kick in the junk will make you beg for a pat of the Carpenters to salve the burn.
