It's a heart in a box!
If you haven't heard any of Dia's music yet, and only have previewed snippets of her songs, get the album Life Between Death and the single Winter Is Coming, The only way I can explain it to people is that it is a lot like the episode of grey's anatomy called heart in a box. The former chief kept urging the doctors to stare at the heart until they "got it" and were inspired. That's what listening to Dia DiCristino's music is like. They are a heart in a box-she is a songwriter that has put her heart and soul into this album, and all you need to do is turn down your lights, put on your headphones and shut your eyes and listen to her music to be inspired. Why am I inspired? For one thing because the music is great, the another thing because Dia was able to do it at all is amazing in itself! With all of her medical problems, for her to create this wonderul collection of songs and to continue sharing her story to help others, is INSPIRING! Dia never gave up, so be inspired, get her music and listen to her beautiful music!
Worth the Wait!
I have been waiting for this since she released the single No Walk in the Park in August, I was getting nervous the rumors of another album weren't true, but alas...here it is! And it is sublime! It's hard to sum it up in a short few sentences, but do yourself a favor and buy the whole album and listen to it in the right order. Of course some of the songs are more catchy than others, but together it is a story you will want to hear!

Life Between Death, wow, what to write about it? It's a condensed version of her life...between death, and it is so well composed and lovely. It leans on the dark side only on the surface, if you listen to it, really listen to it, you will hear that these are words from a woman who has been optimistic, and tried so hard to not let her physical limitations get the best of her, but she takes you on a journey, and yes it is a sad one, and it may break your heart if you are a true fan or admirer of Dia's, but listen, listen to what she has to tell you. She has been holding it in all of these years to focus on other people, now it is time to focus on her. The least we can do is hear what she has to say!
