Life On the Road
Where was I November 15th, 2007?! Wish I woulda been here at iTunes getting this album :-) ... I first heard Adam several years ago when he was in town with "BLAST!" I was extrememly impressed to say the least. But it wasn't until I recently visited his website, heard a few soundbites and saw a few video clips that I realized just how good he really is. After that it was a no brainer about getting "Life On the Road." I am thoroughly satisfied with the purchase and can hardly believe his ability and creativity. Besides straight up, flat out wonderfully blowing the horn, he tastefully uses all kinds of arrangements, instrumentation and digital effects to express his obvious love for and appreciation of making music. (It's one thing to play notes. It's another thing to make music.) The variety of tunes and styles he chooses is nicely balanced affording him the opportunity to show why he's a trumpet player to keep an eye on and ear out for. He's versitile. He makes it sound easy. His ability is off the charts. It sure seems like he's having fun. And it sure doesn't hurt that he's surrounded himself with other musicans that are extremely gifted too. While I was in college I got to play with Allen Vizzutti when he was just a year or two younger than Adam is now. I'm telling you, Adam's playing today is as marvelous as Allen's was then. I can't wait to see what the future holds for him. I'll be looking for his next album, that's for sure!
iTunes has a new trumpet virtuoso!
I've followed Adam's career for a long time, watching him light up intimate jazz clubs, playing mind-blowing concertos with wind symphonies, soaring in front of world class big bands and starring in a Tony & Emmy award winning Broadway show! This guy has everything the rest of the trumpet world is striving for: complete virtuosity, aluring stage presence, unbeatable stylistic versatility, and his playing is passionate and wise beyond his years. And WOW, does this album show it off!! I've NEVER hearnd an album where a solo artist has attempted to play so many styles, and has actually sounded truly incredible at every one! Not bad for a debut album... Keep 'em coming Adam!

Awesome album! Surprised at the diversity of the album with a great mix in flavor of tunes. Love Song for Jozak, driving latin feel with unbelievable solo work! Adam, how about another album!
