SWEET REGGAE ALBUM FOR ANYONE GETTING INTO THE REGGAE SCENE

Very fresh album considering that Anthony B is an artist that is always on the move and on tour the content of this album i must say is a sweet compilation of various issues that face us today but he says "Don't worry" and always chose life over death if you like motivational and meditational music then this is an album is for you. THE WHOLE ALBUM IS AMAZING. CHECK OUT HIS BLACK STAR ALBUM TOO.

Malachi Jomo Kenyatta Says Great Works from an underrated but establish star!!!

I kept coming back to this album over and over again and finally decided to purchase it based on the first three massive tunes and some of the lovers rock ones such as "Woman of My Dreams" and the pop appeal "Don't Say". One thing I can do without on some Reggae albums is the need for an intro. Not always a good fit although it sort of works here. The interlude with grandma was a bit funny and shows some real stigmas Rastas still live with to this day. However, I am obsessed when it comes to how close songs on albums are arranged and match with the ending and the beginning of each tune. I was a bit dissapointed with how far off in seconds most songs were from one another. Therefore, in terms of production I did not give it a five star but there are some good quality riddims and lyrics here. Anthony has always been a reggae stalwart for years going back to such classic albums like So Many Things. To me, he was up there with the great Garnett Silk in terms of Rastas who thought it neccessary to link everyday struggles in their songs to reach the masses. Anthony has tried to maintain some consistency over the years and continue to release great music to this day. However, while songs such as "Territory" and "Bad from Long Time" reaches for massive crossover appeal, they fail to convey the anti-gun and violence message a bit. If you read too much into it, it sounds like glorification but I know Anthony means well and cannot fault him for trying to let people be aware of some of the mentality going on in JA today. The man knows his history and appreciate his icons such as Dennis Brown because "Whip Dem Jah Jah" has that updated feel and modern sound to D. Brown's own "Whip Dem Jah Jah" from back in the day. But there is something for everyone here and I hope Anthony B continues to chart the waters for righteousness. I highly recommend this album but was hoping for a bit more fine tuning of the song's following one another. I can a bit picky. Get it.

Anthony B rootsy as always

Anthony B is without a doubt one of the best reggae artists around. He is a born performer and he is always touring unlike many other world famous reggae acts. I've seen him three times in the last eight months and he keeps it irie every time. If you like Sizzla or Richie Spice check out Anthony B.
