It still hurts to laugh !

Robert Schimmel has to be the funniest man on the planet. His timing and deliver are superior to most. He is so under rated.

I was sadden to hear of Robert Shcimmel's untimely death, he was one of my favorite comedians alla Sam Kinison. He will be sorely missed I'm pretty sure he's keeping the big guy laughing his arse off right now.

Schimmel is the cure....

Robert Schimmel has been one of my favorite comedians for many years now, and any fan will tell you that he has had one of the most unbelievably difficult lives you can imagine. Through his comedy, Robert shares the hard times and the hysterical times (often both of them intersecting) with us to make us laugh, cry and, believe it or not, raise awareness! As someone who has people near and dear to me who have fought, or who continue to fight against cancer, I have found a whole new level of appreciation for the power of the laughter that Robert's CDs and DVDs bring. When I saw him at Caroline's in NYC last year, I presented him with a donation card from the American Cancer Society in his and his son, Derek's name that I made as a way of saying "thanks" for never quitting and always making sure we laughed until we pissed our pants...and I have no doubt that with this new CD, Robert will be forcing me to change my underwear again!! The CDs that preceed this one are classics...unapologetic and raw, disgustingly beautiful comedy that Robert delivers with his trademark dry, self-depricating humor that makes him SO DAMN FUNNY. I challenge ANYONE who likes to laugh to listen to this or any of his work and not be doubled over in spasms of howling laughter in short order. If you ever have a chance to see Robert live on stage, don't miss out! It's twice as funny when you see it in person. Thanks to Robert for being a champion for those who feel that they need to give in and allow the OTHER "C" word to win, and also for being an absolute force of nature in the stand-up comedy world, whose work and humor is a gift to everyone who it touches. Who else would name a book "Cancer On $5 A Day...Chemo Not Included"??? He's a friggin' GENIUS....BUY THIS CD NOW!!!

Raunchy stand-up Robert Schimmel began his career while visiting his sister in Los Angeles; without his knowledge she submitted his name for a local comedy club's open-mike night, and after getting over the shock of being called onstage he improvised a routine which so impressed the club's owner that he invited Schimmel to perform there anytime he wished. He immediately sold his Scottsdale, Arizona home and relocated his family to L.A., only to learn that the club had burned down in the interim;...
