True Indie Band
You may not have heard of them but The Late Greats are a true indie band. Without air play from MTV, alternative radio (college radio yes) stations or endless rants from mainstream publications like Spin or Rolling Stone they have made a decent album and have created a large following despite the aforementioned . I'm reminded of bands like Dismemberment Plan, Saccharine Trust and Capital City Dusters in spurts throughout the album. If you don't know who any of those bands are there's some homework for you to do. Otherwise, this is a remarkable debut. People shouldn't rate what they don't know...school's in session, children.
