iTunes Review
A reggae-influenced alternative rock band from Kingston, Ontario, Bedouin Soundclash are so much more. The deep bass lines, the thick keyboard textures and the nicely harmonized vocals make for a sound that is indebted to no real genre. “Fools Tattoo,” “The Quick & the Dead” and “Get It the Way You Want” use reggae rhythms, as do many other tracks, but it is only one piece of the puzzle. “Mountain Top” plays with a compact punch that’s reminiscent of early Jam or Squeeze. “Brutal Hearts” is a modern-day soul tune brought to a climax with a duet from French Canadian singer Coeur de Pirate. “Elongo” recalls the ‘80s and its lush reverbs and deep layers of sound from the more experimental ends of the Police and others. “No One Moves No One Gets Hurt” is a gentle ballad that veers towards the light feel of Irish singer Perry Blake. “Rolling Stone” throws in a strong, vibrant groove that’s incredibly confident. “Follow the Sun” is deliciously atmospheric. Bedouin Soundclash’s Light the Horizon is one of 2010’s best.

Honored!
It was an absolute honor to produce this album. They are an amazing band who definitely need to be heard by all!
YES!!!!
Finally! i've been waiting for the US Release, and of course it is awesome. Bedouin might be the best band that most people in the states have never heard of.
Darryl Did It Better
I heard about Bedouin Soundclash via the Bad Brains website. Considering Bad Brains is one of my all-time favorite bands, I HAD to check out Bedouin Soundclash. I have all their albums (except Root Fire), and my favorite is definitely Street Gospels. As for Light the Horizon, it's definitely of a slower pace, which isn't at all a bad thing. What I don't like is how Bedouin Soundclash doesn't really sound like Bedouin Soundclash; they sound a bit like U2.
If you're a fan of the band, definitely get this album. It's solid, but it's lost some of the energy of their last two records. The two iTunes-only bonus tracks are totally worth it, though.
