One of the Most Minimal Albums Ever Made

When you're listening to dark ambient music, you shouldn't be expecting loud, in your face sound, but this album caught even me off guard the first time I heard it; it's just so minimal. This album makes Lustmord look like Metallica, it's so soft. Of course, as is the case with many dark ambient albums, it takes headphones to really get the most out of this album. In time, though, it will grow on you. Like a Slow River is different from other Lull albums (such as Dreamt About Dreaming) in the sense that it is more a calm, falling asleep album in the style of Sleep Research Facility than a scary, almost horror movie soundtrack like the aforementioned Dreaming. Overall, for those looking for a slightly unnerving fall-asleep album, this is for you. However, for those of us who really listen to dark ambient to get scared, I'd steer clear of this one.
