YOU WILL LOVE THIS ALBUM
If you love emotive piano-based pop/rock, I promise you, YOU WILL LOVE THIS ALBUM. With songs like Brave, Days Gone By, More, and God In This Moment (really, ALL of the songs) Gavin seems to have written the soundtrack to our lives. We all battle through life sometimes - struggling with our relationships, questioning who we are, trying to find answers... and Gavin's songs manage to capture those feelings. They give you hope. His voice and his melodies somehow make you feel better, like you aren't alone in trying to make sense of it all. I was absolutely blown away the first time I heard these songs and continue to be amazed every time I listen to them. He is HANDS DOWN my favorite artist, and this album is his best work to date. You won't be disappointed.
GREAT from beginning & has staying power
I bought this album when it first came out after buying his first album and have kept going back to it. The songs are deep in lyrics and have different styles of music so that this will be one we will listen to for years. It also makes me keep following Gavin's music and HOPING for another album. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite track but 'Brave' and 'Catch Your Fall' will hook you early on. 'More' shifts gears to a more edgy sound and very much an introspective view of oneself. The spiritually rich 'God in this Moment' took me by surprise and has had me and others listening on the verge of tears. I could write at length about each song...Also, I love 'Days Gone By.' Moral? Buy the whole album...you won't be disappointed and you'll have discovered an incredibly talented singer-songwriter musician!
Absolutely amazing...
With the number of singer-songwriters coming out these days, it's sometimes hard to tell one from the other. They all start to sound the same. But, every once in a while you hear one who just stands out from the rest. Gavin is that one. The first time I heard his song "Days Gone By" I cried. It hit home in such a powerful way and I haven't stopped listening since. Buy this whole album - every song is amazing.
