Album Review
Limbs & Branches is an abbreviated "best-of" collection from Jon Foreman's seasonal solo releases. Executive producer Charlie Peacock and Foreman selected fan favorites from among the 24 songs spanning the Fall and Winter and Spring and Summer recordings. It includes "The Cure for Pain," which appeared on the 2008 season finale of Grey's Anatomy, and two new songs, "Broken from the Start" and "Over the River."

Amazing work by Jon Foreman!

But on a more intricate note:
I am one of those musical enthusiasts that loves when beautiful music and lyrics with substance can coexist in mellifluous harmony. This condensed album - as well as the original four- I feel, definitely does a great job. Limbs and Branches possesses a very somber and contemplative tone, with a few upbeat tracks as well. It is as if an intimate relationship between the singer and listener exists when listening to Foreman's music. You definitely feel as if you are being taken on a journey with a friend, if not yourself. There is always an interesting narrative and or message to the tracks, I never expect anything less from this man. There seems to be emphasis on the experiential quality and sensitivity to sound, and its relationship to the lyrics and narrative. By doing so Foreman creates music that rests perfectly within the context of its message. Foreman is truly gifted at transforming pure poetry and moving messages into sounds that captivate a listener and truly seize a feeling and moment. A must buy!

Ok this is one of the best albums ever! Jon foreman did a GREAT job with it and I love how real and serious the lyrics are. My favorites are "Your Love is Strong", which always gets me in a good mood, and "Instead of A Show", which is a good reminder to not be fake and keep it real with our faith in Christ. This is one of the best albums I have ever heard. BUY IT. right now. go.
It's a whole new level of music
If you even remotely enjoy acoustic music, I'm sure you'll love any and all of Jon Foreman's singles. My favorite out of all of them is "In My Arms." I love how his soft wispers and passionate voice sound, it puts me to sleep at night. It encourages me to stay pure in a really inspiring way.
