Better than original

Big fan of PG, but most of these covers don't add anything to the original and really just ruin it (Not One of Us, Solsbury Hill), but along with Paul Simon's Biko, this version is funkier and quirkier than the original, and Byrne's tenor makes the song fairly whimsical given the tech-iness of the rest of the song.

WOW

Amazing cover of PG's song...so far, the best from his SMB collaboration! David Byrne crafts a version that easily rivals Peter's original; and that's blasphemy from this uber-fan!

missing the point...

The point of "Scratch My Back" and the alternate singles, "I'll Scratch Yours", is to offer different takes on songs we all appreciate. I love to hear different artists cover songs of artists I love and especially when it comes to PG, I can appreciate anyone's take. The good (this song, Paul Simon's BIKO, Elbow's MERCY STREET) and the bad, (Sorry Lou, but your version of Solsbury Hill is unlistenable) I love 'em! Keep them coming Pete!
