Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, and Bradley Nowell rolled up into one
This is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. Mike Pinto is a throwback to the best music of the past 15 years. He has the edgey lyrics of Brad Nowell of Sublime, He can play the guitar like Jack Johnson, and he can create a laid back rythm like only the great Bob Marley could. Little District carries a wide variety of sounds. From Tricky Nicky, an instant hit, that brings back memories of Sublime's Date Rape, One More Time which is equally good, but it's done in a much more Jack Johnsonesc way. From top to bottom this is easilly one of the best relativly undiscovered (by main stream media) since 40 oz. to Freedom. If you apreciate music for what it truely is and not what MTV would like you to think it is then Mike Pinto is the man for you.
Mike Pinto is one of the best new musicians out there today.
I heard about Mike Pinto a year or so back from a good friend who is in the Phili music scene and I have loved his reggae style from the beginning. I am a huge fan of reggae, dub, acoustic, rock, and other styles, and Mike Pinto does a pristine job blending all these styles into his own original sound. He sounds like a mix between Sublime and Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. I recommend to buy this CD and support him if you are into music at all, especially for Sublime fans. Go to his web site on myspace and hear some tracks that have not been released yet. peace.

mike pinto delivers with this fantastic album. my favorite besides all of them would be one more time. its a feel good song, but i want to point out the lack of 10 stars in the rating system. i love this album and you should too. if you like mike then you should consider G. Love & Special sauce. they are different but have very good vocals like mike pinto. now come to COLORADO!
