Live from Neon Park is an exhaustive double-disc live set recorded on the tour supporting Ain't Had Enough Fun, the first Little Feat album that featured vocalist Shaun Murphy. The double disc features all of the band's best-known material, from "Dixie Chicken" to "Let It Roll." The Feat have always been one of the best live rootsy rock bands, so they naturally give inspired performances, even if they occasionally sound like they've performed these songs one too many times. Still, dedicated Little Feat fans will find this to be an entertaining memento of the latter-day edition of the band.

This one is a gem - one to get excited about!

This album is one to get excited about! I first discovered Little Feat back when Feats Don’t Fail Me Now was released, and have been a fan ever since. Although I haven’t been too keen on some of the band’s latest efforts, this performance clearly shows why Little Feat is one of the greatest rock & roll bands of all time. One of the band’s trademarks are the funky jams they morph into while playing some of their old standards, and the rendition of Dixie Chicken on this album is a prime example - the best I’ve ever heard. There is a smokin’ hot guitar collaboration solo that settles into a really nice groove, and Paul Barrere is definitely The Man on the slide guitar. Check out the acoustic, but very funky Down on The Farm, or the wicked rockabilly jam Paul does on Let It Roll. I love the way the band slightly reinvents some of their tunes – such as Two Trains and Spanish Moon with a beautiful transition into Skin It Back. From top to bottom, this one is a gem.

Best Live Compilation of the Feat on Commercial Release

This album is always a "go-to" when I'm in the car for a long drive or in need of a pick-me-up after a long day at work. Covering some of their most well-known songs, the live performances are just incredible in style, artistry and creativity. Each member gets a special solo in different songs, and the total combination is an absolute jammin' collection that is a must-have for any Feat fan! Sometimes I just play the intro to "Changin' Luck" over and over as it gives me goosebumps, or I'll replay "Dixie Chicken" and sit in the car in the driveway just to hear it again (at 17+ minutes it's well worth it!!!). All of the other songs are unforgettable too, from Shaun's sultry "Taking Up Another Man's Place" to the sing-along in "Feats Don't Fail Me Now" with Sam and Shaun, plus all the rest - this is a non-stop Feat Fest!!!

Great album but not enough attention

If you're just getting into Little Feat, LFNP is a great start. Not only is it a good sampling of their songs, both old and new, but this album does a great job capturing the energy and fun this talented band has every show. There is a reason so many other stars of rock and roll point to Little Feat as one of their favorite bands. And you can't beat the amount of music you get for the price!
