Saw the show on 2/23/08. The reviews were lukewarm at best, so I went in with no expectations. The Little Mermaid is a SPECTACULAR show, visually stunning, with singing and performances to match. From the scenic design to the costumes, the "drowning" of Prince Eric and the transformation of Ariel into a human, the show is mesmerizing, as are Sierra Bogess as Ariel and Sherie Renee Scott as Ursula. Funny, touching and gorgeous, every cast member sparkles like the undersea world around them. I dare you not to be moved by the ending. Audience members from 9 to 99 broke into spontaneous applause at many scenes, and roared it's approval at the end of this thrilling show. The soundtrack captures the beautiful performances to a tee. Enjoy the soundtrack, and get to the Lunt Fontanne theater before this cast changes...Tony nominations are sure to follow!

This is a TOTALLY awesome CD! My favortie tracks are If Only (Quartet), I Want the Good TImes Back, She's In Love, and Part of Your World (Reprise). I bought my copy when I saw the show 2 weeks after opening and I was shocked at how amazing it was! I think it is SO great that Alan Menken worked on the music for the Broadway show. Buy this CD! You'll love it!
