Album Review

The Lords of Acid are feeling good vibrations on the Little Mighty Rabbit EP, thanks to the "shiny g-spot manipulator" hailed on the title track. Goth dancefloors haven't received such a buzz-worthy number since Interactive's "Dildo," but this isn't that kind of dark techno as the Lords move into My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult territory here with an electro-burlesque style. Remixes, for the most part, refer to the strict thump and pump of the band's early years, while the B-side "Drowning in Ecstasy" splits the difference with dominatrix vocals sternly delivered over rave-era keyboards. Not the group's high point, although independent women and the cast of Sex in the City may disagree.

Uninspired.

Look, I know its been 10 years and I shouldnt expect anything great..but this is just 10 remixed songs devoted to a sex toy and ONE semi good tune. (Drowning in Ecstasy) This isnt the LOA we all fell in lust with over a decade ago.....but then again....that was over a decade ago.....

LOA is back with a vengeance!

I love Lords of Acid, and this new EP is a good example of why I fell in love with their music from the time I first heard it. These tracks are going to be tearing up the clubs. I can't wait to dance to them in the clubs. Way to go LOA! You hit another homerun with me. "Little Mighty Rabbit" is strong enough with the original, and the remixes are just extra goodies for my arsenal of music. "Drowning In Ecstasy" is another wicked song on this. I am looking forward to seeing you on tour again so I can dance to these songs live.

Excellent

While it is really in effect only 3 new songs, I cannot help but be happy with this new album. LMR is a great song and nicely performed - I cannot wait to see this band live!

Lords of Acid's exaggeratedly sexual acid house dance music gained a cult following with their 1991 album, Lust. Previously, the band had released three singles that laid the groundwork for the dense, throbbing Lust and its club hits, "Rough Sex" and "I Must Increase My Bust." Between their debut and their second album, 1994's Voodoo-U, Lords of Acid added industrial elements to their sound and became a more straightforward, band-oriented group. At the time of their second album, Lords of Acid were...
