iTunes Review

Live and Loud 2009 rolls with stadium-born, rock-star stage banter and Josh Todd’s live voice dips deeper into those Axl Rose- inspired nasal inflections that tend to elongate vowels and turn words like “you” into “yow-wow.” But what’s most evident here is how much fun it must be to play in this band. They sell out shows, they rock like the Sunset Strip is still thriving, and they have fans who sing along on the choruses. Culled from their Spring 2009 tour of Canada, Live and Loud projects the party out of your speakers to sound like you’re sitting at the mixing board with the sound engineer and the band’s entourage. “Lit Up” gets the crowd going crazy, especially when Todd sings “I love the cocaine/ I love the cocay-eee-ayne” and if you close your eyes during the power ballad “Sorry” you can envision thousands of Bic lighters hoisted high. Until they release a “best of” comp, this is a great album on which to hear all your favorite Buckcherry tunes.

Living Up To The Title

by WestCoastPunk69

Buckcherry most certainly lives up to their album title. This live album is a worthy compilation of their average setlist with a few surprises (Cream, Lawless & Lulu, etc). While it's not the real deal relative to the great live show that they put on every time they're on tour, this is the next best thing with songs spanning over all 3 of their albums. A great live album!

I never even heard of Buckcherry before seeing them open for KISS in Atlanta this year. My husband, son, daughter-in-law and I went to the show. On the way home I was surprised to hear I was the only one who really liked this 'new' band! Then we went to see KISS again 2 nights later in Nashville.....my daughter-in-law leans over to me and says "okay I guess I'm gonna have to buy the album"! Now we're all fans! They're a great, edgy, funky, hard rock band! Some people just need more time to realize it than others!
