Great live concert overview of an amazing artist
Mr Du still has the passion!
This set was played ALL over the world in 2008. From Austin Texas to Rome Italy. This shows in the tightness and drive of the 12 tunes featured here. Bob Mould shows the world and his fans that as much as he tried to turn his back on loud electric rock/punk music..he really couldn't and that it's as much a part of his DNA as breathing.
This album catches the Bob Mould Band and particularly Bob's electric guitar work on fire the way they were much of 2008. If you LOVE passionate hard driving HUSKER DU/SUGAR/Bob Mould tunes..then this album is for you. Thanks Bob for keeping it real, and still rockin' the bejeezes out of the gray haired mowhawk nation. We Love You!!
Been a fan for over 20 years
I first heard Husker Du in 1986, and they blew my mind. I had never heard music with that much passion and drive. Husker broke up in 87, but Bob put out two amazing solo albums Workbook and Black Sheets of Rain. Then Sugar, then solo again. Life and Times is great, showing Bob might be older, but still can rock. This live album is awesome. Songs from all over his catalog. I wish it had twice as many songs. I would buy any live album Bob puts out.
