Pearl Jam is just as good live as they are in the studio. I'm pleasantly surprised =) Good work Pearl Jam!

GREAT SHOW! GREAT ALBUM!

by Gene Kelly

15 years after Pearl Jam stole the show at the second Lollapalooza, they return to the festival that helped define them with a hero's welcome. And they proceed to return the love with a blistering set heavy on the hits, but with a generous sampling of album cuts and bsides. Not a typical Pearl Jam show, but, as Eddie admits, not a typical night.

Vedder reminices about taking the "L" day and night listening Iggy Pop and Patti Smith(both of whom played Lollapalooza that weekend) and says how special it is to come back not only to Lollapalooza, but to play in his hometown's front lawn.

One of the best Pearl Jam shows I've been to.

P.S. ONE song has been cut from this performance. "No More", a duet by Ben Harper and Vedder. It is available on the soundtrack to "In the Wild", scored by Vedder.

Still gives me chills

I had waited years to see Pearl Jam in concert. After having had plans to see them twice fail, I packed my backpack and trekked my happyass all the way from Southwest Florida to Chi-town in 2007 to see one of my favorite bands play their first festival show since 2000.
I was not disappointed. And every time I listen to this album, I still get chills down my spine and the hairs on my arms stand on end.

As for the censorship - pretty much the whole show is here. iTunes didn't do nearly as much damage to the First Amendment as the AT&T Blueroom did to this show. (AT&T cut the "live feed" off about 30 minutes before the end of the actual show. F*****s.)

Anyway. Download this!! If you were there, it'll make you smile in remembrance. If you weren't, it'll inspire you to see Pearl Jam live at least once before you die.
